Empowered Youth for the Marginalized

The EYM conference aims to share the organization’s knowledge and practices on conducting outreach activities as well as see the way other organizations and institutions do it. In such a way, the event facilitates a two-way process of sharing and learning. Furthermore, the event opens new networks for the organization which can possibly aid us in our future activities and events.

The Empowered Youth for the Marginalized (EYM) conference aims to share the organization’s knowledge and practices on conducting outreach activities as well as see the way other organizations and institutions do it. The Empowered Youth for the Marginalized (EYM) event takes the form of a conference dedicated in enabling the youth to further craft programs and activities targeted to effect positive change to the lives of those in the marginalized sectors by providing them opportunities to exchange ideas and collaborate with each other.

 

Objectives

COLLABORATION
Opening more opportunities, especially for the youth, sparks great inspiration for the realization that the youth can play a big part in nation-building even in simple ways when given the chance to connect and collaborate with people who share the same interest of serving the marginalized sectors as them

EMPOWERMENT
Inspiring action through the exchange of information and collaboration is the ultimate requirement to maximize one’s potentials; thus, equipping the youth with pertinent knowledge and skills can greatly contribute in their personal development as leaders and agents of community development

NETWORKS
Sustained communication and support from people and groups who share the same interest in serving the marginalized is crucial in the success of youth actors in carrying out their endeavors of effecting positive social change especially among those in the marginalized sectors
