Thirty six students from Los Banos Central Elementary School’s (LBCES) 4th and 5th grade school levels participated in Kwentong Kalusugan (KK) Big Day last March 18. The event aimed to share knowledge and ideas on health and sanitation among elementary children.
The students joined quiz bees, poster-making, and poem writing contests. UP SIBOL members and LBCES’ Bulilit Health Workers (BHWs) served as facilitators for the competition. Selected members from the organization were also the ones who judged and declared the event winners.
This is the 4th time fot UP SIBOL to conduct the Big Day in LBCES. A week before the event, the organization was recognized as part of LBCES’ Adopt-a-School Program. According to Mrs. Ginalyn Freo, LBCES’ principal, the recognition was made due to the organization’s constant effort in imparting knowledge about health and sanitation among children for four years now.
